Yangon at Night....

There is tons of street food in Yangon. There are rather few restaurants and eating on the street seems to be the most popular options for the urbanites as well as the lower class.

This is the dock where we found what seems to be the poorest workers returning home on small boats after a long days work. At about 8 or 9 at night this place is slammed with people crowding on to boats to go to the basically unlit other side of the river. who knows what it's like over there.

Our favorite street food stand. This guy makes two awesome dishes. One is fish tacos without the taco. It's exactly that, fried fish, cabbage, chili, some onion and lemon juice.... just no tortilla. The second is very similar but inside a doughy tofu pocket, kinda like the sushi rice pocket thing(not sure what that is called.)

People like getting funny pieces of meat on sticks. Watch out for tiny bites of pig ears!

The post office. The building on the left is the very famous Strand Hotel, where basically every colonial European stayed in the Burma days. This is just across the street from the waterfront and dock where all the boats come and go.

By the dock.

Ah, baseball.... wait, what? people like baseball in Myanmar(or India?), who knew?
